Japanese idol group Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku is in mourning.
It’s with delay but also with sadness that we announce to you the recent death of Matsuno Rina occurred of February 8. The news broke shortly after 11:30am (JST) on FNN Spark.
Matsuno, fallen ill a few days ago, was resting at her home in Tokyo while the rest of Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku members was performing a concert in Osaka on February 7th. At around 5:00am, on February 8th, her family contacted emergency medical services (119) as her condition had worsened. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Matsuno passed away at the age of 18.
To the surprise of the fans, Especia announced that it will disband.

The members discussed with their agency about their separation. The reasons remain rather blurred but it’s said that structural problems with their agency would have led the group to dissolve. This information remains to be confirmed.
Nogizaka46 members Ikuta Erika, Kitano Hinako, Saito Chiharu, Nakamoto Himeka and Hori Miona held their coming-of-age ceremony (成人式, seijin shiki).
The ceremony took place on January 7 at Nogi Shrine in Tokyo. The 5 members of the idol group, who were born in 1996 and in early 1997, were wearing beautiful kimonos and holding Japanese traditional accessories.

Necronomidol announces the arrival of new member Tsukishiro Himari.
Necronomidol’s 2017 kickoff event A New Dark Age Dawns, to be held on January 5 at Meguro’s Rokumeikan, will be the first live performance of new member Tsukishiro Himari. The idol group will also unveil new uniforms and several new songs at the show along with the announcement of a number of new projects for 2017.
Michishige Sayumi announced her return to show business in a post published on her blog on November 26.
She will resume activities next Spring.
Michishige Sayumi explained that she aimed to do performances that give her new feelings, and that are different from live.
