Inaba Manaka (Country Girls) to go on hiatus

Inaba Manaka (Country Girls)Inaba Manaka is going to suspend activities with Country Girls because of asthma.

She suffers from this disease since she is a child. Up-Front announced that Inaba Manaka’s condition had recently worsened when she was performing with the idol group.

After some discussions with her family and a doctor, she decided to have a break in order to undergo medical treatment.

Country Girls - Wakatte Iru no ni Gomen ne / Tamerai SummertimeThe new single of Country Girls entitled Wakatte Iru no ni Gomen ne / Tamerai Summertime (わかっているのにごめんね / ためらいサマータイム) is on sale since August 5.

It’s the 2nd single of Country Girls previously known as Country Musume. It’s also the 1st single of the group after the withdrawal of one of its members Shimamura Uta in last June.

The single contains a double A-side.


New Country Musume : Country Girls

Country Girls (カントリー・ガールズ)The new members of Country Musume have been announced and the idol group was renamed Country Girls.

The 5 new members are Yamaki Risa, Inaba Manaka, Ozeki Mai, Shimamura Uta and Morito Chisaki.

Former leader Satoda Mai was appointed as general manager.

Tsugunaga Momoko (Berryz Kobo) joined the unit as “playing manager”.


Hello! Project Countdown Party 2013 ~Good Bye & Hello~

Hello! Project Countdown Party 2013 ~Good Bye and Hello~Hello! Project Countdown Party 2013 ~Good Bye & Hello!~ will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 14.

In addition to Morning Musume, Berryz Kobo, °C-ute, S/mileage and Juice=Juice, there were also some guests such as Kikkawa You, Up Up Girls (Kari), The Possible, LoVendoЯ

Former Hello! Project members Takahashi Ai, Niigaki Risa, Matsuura Aya, Ishikawa Rika, Yoshizawa Hitomi, Mano Erina Fujimoto Miki, Abe Natsumi… participated in Hello! Project Countdown Party 2013 ~Good Bye & Hello!~.


Country Musume – Auditions for new members

Satoda Mai (里田まい)Country Musume is going to hold auditions to recruit new members.

This surprise announcement was made by Satoda Mai via a video message on February 11 during the Hello! Project 2014 Winter ~Goisu Mode~ concert in Sendai.

Registration for the auditions is opened until March 31. They are reserved for girls aged between 10 and 17 years old from all over Japan. (more…)
