Wada Ayaka announced her future graduation of Angerme and Hello! Project.
The announcement was made on April 5, by Wada Ayaka herself, through a long message on her blog.
According to her, she discussed with her few friends of the staff of Angerme about her decision to graduate. They decided that 2019 would be the year to graduate as it marks her 10th anniversary of Angerme activities (previously S/mileage). As the last member of the 1st generation of the idol group to be still part, she will pass the torch to younger generations.
However, Wada Ayaka mentioned that she will not withdraw from show business. She hopes to continue dancing and singing, but in a way that goes beyond the definition of idol.
She will graduate at the final date of the spring tour in 2019.
Wada Ayaka is part of Hello! Project since 2004 when she joined Hello! Pro Egg. She joined Shugo Chara Egg in 2008 and later joined S/mileage in 2009 with Maeda Yuuka, Fukuda Kanon and Ogawa Saki. The group changed its name from ANGERME in 2014.
Wada Ayaka is the leader of Hello! Project since December 31, 2016. She was born on August 1, 1994 and is 23 years old.
In addition, Angerme will hold a concert at La Cigale in Paris, France, on June 3rd. The idol group will also release its new single Nakenaize… Kyoukan Sagi / Uraha=Lover / Kimi Dake ja nai sa … friends (2018 Acoustic Ver.) on May 9th.
