The word &#8220;negi&#8221; (\u30cd\u30ae) means &#8220;onion&#8221; in Japanese.<\/p>\n<p>Their 1st single <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Koi Suru Negikko (\u604b\u3059\u308b\u306d\u304e\u3063\u5a18)<\/span> was released in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>Miku graduated in November 2006. She was replaced by Misaki in the following month.<\/p>\n<p>Misaki announced her graduation in April 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Their radio show started on FM Kento and Ustream in September 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Negicco won the Grand Prix at <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">U.M.U Award 2010<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1195\" title=\"Negicco\" src=\"http:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2012\/07\/negicco-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Negicco\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2012\/07\/negicco-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2012\/07\/negicco-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2012\/07\/negicco.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>They signed under T-Palette Records label in June 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The idol group collaborated with <a title=\"hy4_4yh\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/hy4_4yh\/\">hy4_4yh<\/a> on the single <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Kanzen Kouryaku (\u5b8c\u5168\u653b\u7565)<\/span> released in March 2012.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Negicco \u2013 Melody Palette ~Okiniiri no Party e~\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/negicco-melody-palette-okiniiri-no-party-e\/\">Negicco 10th Anniversary Party<\/a> Live was held in August 2013 at Shinjuku Blaze in Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2013, the girls collaborated with swedish headphones brand Coloud to release a new item named <span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><a title=\"Negicco and Coloud released NegicColoud headphones\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/negicco-coloud-negiccoloud\/\">NegicColoud<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-23668\" src=\"http:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2014\/06\/negicco-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Negicco\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>The members of Negicco went to Finland for the filming of the music video for the single <span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><a title=\"Negicco \u2013 Hikari no Spur\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/negicco-hikari-no-spur\/\">Hikari no Spur<\/a> (\u5149\u306e\u30b7\u30e5\u30d7\u30fc\u30eb)<\/span> released in December 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The girls appeared in traditional Japanese kimonos in a TV commercial for\u00a0Sato Kagami Mochi&#8217;s Raku Poi Youki (\u3089\u304f\u30dd\u30a4\u5bb9\u5668) in December 2014.<\/p>\n<p>NegiBand was formed in the beginning of 2015. It consists of various musicians such as Onishi Yusuke (guitar), Kashima Tatsuya (bass), Mabanua (drums), Shindo Takatoshi (keyboard), Kobayashi Takegoro (keyboard), Nagata Kosei (sax, flute), Masago Yochi (trumpet, flugelhorn), Maeda Daisuke (trombone). They participate in some live performances.<\/p>\n<p>The DVD\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><a title=\"Live &amp; Life Negicco 2014-15 Winter\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/live-life-negicco-2014-2015-winter\/\">Live &amp; Life Negicco 2014-15 Winter<\/a><\/span> includes the video of the concert\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Road of Negiiiiii \uff5eNegicco One Man Show\uff5e<\/span> which took place in January 2015 at Liquidroom, Tokyo. It contains also a documentary on the idol group.<\/p>\n<p>The 3 members tuned into tanuki (raccoon dog) in a CM for Sato no Gohan (\u30b5\u30c8\u30a6\u306e\u3054\u306f\u3093) rice in February 2015.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-26799\" src=\"http:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2014\/12\/negicco-idol.jpg\" alt=\"Negicco\" width=\"150\" height=\"83\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Their 1st nationwide live tour <span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdjapan.co.jp\/aff\/click.cgi\/PytJTGW7Lok\/4176\/A793738\/product%2FTPRD-11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Never Give Up Girls!!! &amp; Rice &amp; Snow<\/a><\/span> was held from February to May 2015.<\/p>\n<p>After the announcement of the creation of <a title=\"Creation of NGT48\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/ngt48-creation\/\">NGT48<\/a>, Takahashi Minami and Yokoyama Yui (AKB48) paid a courtesy visit to Negicco in March 2015 in Niigata.<\/p>\n<p>Nao\u2606, Megu and Kaede appeared in a TV commercial for Hatori hot springs (onsen) in March 2015. They performed the official song <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Hatori ni Tsuretette (\u8449\u6e21\u8389\u306b\u9023\u308c\u3066\u3063\u3066)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her activities as an idol, Kaede studies chemical engineering at Niigata University. She was appointed special researcher and representative of pharmaceutical college in April 2015.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2015,\u00a0Nao\u2606 threw the ceremonial first pitch before a baseball game at the Hard Off Eco Stadium in Niigata.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-32541\" src=\"http:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2015\/11\/negicco-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Negicco\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Negicco participated in <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Culture City of East Asia<\/span> in Cheongju, South Korea, in May 2015.
