\"X21\"X21<\/strong> is a Japanese idol group formed in 2013 by Oscar Promotion.<\/p>\n

They are\u00a0also known as Next Generation Unit X21 (\u6b21\u4e16\u4ee3\u30e6\u30cb\u30c3\u30c8X21).<\/p>\n

It currently consists of 21 members.<\/p>\n

The leader is Yoshimoto Miyu.<\/p>\n

Biography \/ History<\/h2>\n

The girls were finalists of the 13th Japan Bishojo Contest (\u7b2c13\u56de\u5168\u65e5\u672c\u56fd\u6c11\u7684\u7f8e\u5c11\u5973\u30b3\u30f3\u30c6\u30b9\u30c8)<\/span> in August 2012. Yoshimoto Miyu and Ozawa Nanaka were the winners of the beauty contest.<\/p>\n

\"X21\"The “X” in the group’s name stands for “unknown”, “future” and “power that can not be predicted”. It indicates that they are the next generation idol unit and that their potential is unpredictable.<\/p>\n

Yamasaki Saaya and Igashi Manami are models for Pichi Lemon (\u30d4\u30c1\u30ec\u30e2\u30f3)<\/span> respectively since June and July 2012.<\/p>\n

Saenaga Mai is a model for Seventeen<\/span> magazine since February 2013.<\/p>\n

Ohnishi Aguri played in Boku to Kimi no Melody (\u50d5\u3068\u541b\u306e\u30e1\u30ed\u30c7\u30a3)<\/span> drama in March 2013.<\/p>\n

Their variety show Go! Oscar! X21 (Go!\u30aa\u30b9\u30ab\u30eb!X21)<\/span> airs on TV Asahi (\u30c6\u30ec\u30d3\u671d\u65e5) since April 2013. It is broadcast every Friday night.<\/p>\n

\"X21Yoshimoto Miyu hosts radio shows on TBS since April 2013<\/p>\n

Nishikawa Misaki announced her graduation in March 2014. She was the eldest member.<\/p>\n

X21’s debut single Asu e no Sotsugyou<\/a> (\u660e\u65e5\u3078\u306e\u5352\u696d)<\/span> was released in March 2014.<\/p>\n

Their 2nd single Koi Suru Natsu!<\/a> (\u604b\u3059\u308b\u590f\uff01)<\/span> went on sale in June 2014. The coupling track is a cover of the K-Pop song Gwiyomi Song (\u30ad\u30e8\u30df\u30fb\u30bd\u30f3\u30b0)<\/span> by South Korean female singer Hari.<\/p>\n

X21 1st one-man live was held in August 2014 at Mt. Rainier Hall Shibuya Pleasure Pleasure, Tokyo.<\/p>\n

\"X21\"Their 4th single X Gift<\/a> (X\u30ae\u30d5\u30c8)<\/span> was the ending theme song for the variety show Go! Oscar! X21 (Go! \u30aa\u30b9\u30ab\u30eb! X21)<\/span> hosted by the members of the idol group.<\/p>\n

The girls were the guests of Muzz Buzz opening reception in March 2015. This event marked the creation of the first franchise of the Australian coffee store chain in Japan.<\/p>\n

\"X21\"In April 2015, Nagao Mami, Moriya Sakura (X21), Takahashi Mari, Tominaga Mimori (Dorothy Little Happy<\/a>),\u00a0Murakami Rana, Minamiguchi Nana (GEM<\/a>) formed the special unit Magical Dreamin (\u30de\u30b8\u30ab\u30eb\u2606\u3069\u308a\u30fc\u307f\u3093) to perform the opening theme song for the anime Jewelpet Magical Change (\u30b8\u30e5\u30a8\u30eb\u30da\u30c3\u30c8 \u30de\u30b8\u30ab\u30eb\u30c1\u30a7\u30f3\u30b8)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

X21’s 1st album Shoujo X<\/a> (\u5c11\u5973X)<\/span> was released in April 2015.<\/p>\n

\"X21\"Igashira Manami played in the movie My Friendship Kilt (\u30de\u30a4\u30fb\u30d5\u30ec\u30f3\u30c9\u30b7\u30c3\u30d7\u30fb\u30ad\u30eb\u30c8)<\/span> along with Ishino Riko (Idol Renaissance<\/a>), Ichinose Mika (Kamiyado<\/a>), Komatsu Moka (Hakoiri\u2661Musume<\/a>), Noda Mami (Sunmyu<\/a>). The film was released in August 2015.<\/p>\n

In September 2015, it was announced that if their 5th single\u00a0You-kI no Parade<\/a> (YOU-kI\u306e\u30d1\u30ec\u30fc\u30c9)<\/span> didn’t reach the top 10 on Oricon chart, or if there were less than 10,000 copies sold in the first week, X21 would suspend indefinitely their activities at the end of the year. The result was that the CD ranked 5th.<\/p>\n

The idol group’s 6th single Magical Kiss (\u30de\u30b8\u30ab\u30eb\u2606\u30ad\u30b9)<\/span>, on sale in December 2015, is the theme song for the anime Jewelpet Magical Change (\u30b8\u30e5\u30a8\u30eb\u30da\u30c3\u30c8 \u30de\u30b8\u30ab\u30eb\u30c1\u30a7\u30f3\u30b8)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\"X21\"Komuro Tetsuya wrote the lyrics and composed the music of their 7th single\u00a0Yakusoku no Oka (\u7d04\u675f\u306e\u4e18)<\/span> in March 2016. The themes are “relationship” and “friendship” between people.<\/p>\n

Wakayama Ayano, Sera Misaki, Sagawa Miyu, Hosoi Yurika and Takahashi Runa announced their graduation in March 2016.<\/p>\n

As a result, Inuzuka Shiori, Iijima Mika, Kadogaki Hikaru, Takamura Yuka, Kawaguchi Yurina and Nakazato Megumu<\/a> joined X21 as 2nd generation members in April 2016. They were finalists of the 14th Japan Bishojo Contest (\u7b2c14\u56de\u5168\u65e5\u672c\u56fd\u6c11\u7684\u7f8e\u5c11\u5973\u30b3\u30f3\u30c6\u30b9\u30c8)<\/span>.<\/p>\n
