Yoshimoto Miyu and Ozawa Nanaka were the winners of the beauty contest.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-19797\" src=\"http:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2014\/02\/x21.jpg\" alt=\"X21\" width=\"112\" height=\"150\" \/>The &#8220;X&#8221; in the group&#8217;s name stands for &#8220;unknown&#8221;, &#8220;future&#8221; and &#8220;power that can not be predicted&#8221;. It indicates that they are the next generation idol unit and that their potential is unpredictable.<\/p>\n<p>Yamasaki Saaya and Igashi Manami are models for <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Pichi Lemon (\u30d4\u30c1\u30ec\u30e2\u30f3)<\/span> respectively since June and July 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Saenaga Mai is a model for <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Seventeen<\/span> magazine since February 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Ohnishi Aguri played in <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Boku to Kimi no Melody (\u50d5\u3068\u541b\u306e\u30e1\u30ed\u30c7\u30a3)<\/span> drama in March 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Their variety show <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Go! Oscar! X21 (Go!\u30aa\u30b9\u30ab\u30eb!X21)<\/span> airs on TV Asahi (\u30c6\u30ec\u30d3\u671d\u65e5) since April 2013. The film was released in August 2015.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2015, it was announced that if their 5th single\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/x21-you-ki-no-parade\/\">You-kI no Parade<\/a> (YOU-kI\u306e\u30d1\u30ec\u30fc\u30c9)<\/span> didn&#8217;t reach the top 10 on Oricon chart, or if there were less than 10,000 copies sold in the first week, X21 would suspend indefinitely their activities at the end of the year.
