They represent pop culture among young people with themes like anime, maid, otaku&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>OS\u2606U made their live debut in August 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Their 1st single <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Kiss! Kiss!! ~Chizu ni nai Michishirube~ (kiss!kiss!! \u301c\u5730\u56f3\u306b\u306a\u3044\u9053\u6a19\u301c)<\/span> was released in October 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The girls started to expand their activities to other areas in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>OS\u2606U\u00a0was finalist of the <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">U.M.U. Award 2011<\/span>. They were in competition against other local Japanese idol groups.<\/p>\n<p>The idol group performed the tie-up song for the Aonami Line (\u3042\u304a\u306a\u307f\u7dda) in April 2012. This railway line connects Nagoya Station with Kinjo-Futo Station.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-4099\" src=\"http:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2012\/10\/osu-super-idol-unit-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"OS\u2606U (Osu Super Idol Unit)\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2012\/10\/osu-super-idol-unit-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2012\/10\/osu-super-idol-unit.jpeg 256w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>The girls were appointed as\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Play! Aichi Correspondent (\u7279\u6d3e\u54e1)<\/span> in July 2012. They were in charge of public relations to promote Aichi Prefecture.<\/p>\n<p>The members of OS\u2606U were appointed as ambassadors and performed the theme song for Aichi Red Cross Blood Center in early 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Pop\u2606Star and Smile\u2606Star teams were created in April 2013.<\/p>\n<p>They were reshuffled as Platinum\u2606Stars and Golden\u2605Stars in May 2013.<\/p>\n<p>A 3rd team was added in August 2013 when the 5th generation members joined the unit.<\/p>\n<p>OS\u2606U ranked 1st at the <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">&#8220;Amachan&#8221; Map Nationwide Local Idol Ranking Battle (NHK\u30aa\u30f3\u30c7\u30de\u30f3\u30c9\u5168\u56fd\u300e\u3042\u307e\u3061\u3083\u3093\u300f\u30de\u30c3\u30d7\u5168\u56fd\u3054\u5f53\u5730\u30a2\u30a4\u30c9\u30eb\u30e9\u30f3\u30ad\u30f3\u30b0\u30d0\u30c8\u30eb)<\/span> in December 2013. The contest was based upon the popular drama <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Amachan<\/span>. Other local idol groups like <a title=\"LinQ\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/linq\/\">LinQ<\/a>, <a title=\"Hime Kyun Fruit Can\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/hime-kyun-fruit-can\/\">Hime Kyun Fruit Can<\/a>&#8230; participated in the competition. As a result,\u00a0OS\u2606U became the image character for NHK On Demand in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Ban Kanami is also an actress. She acted in the stage plays <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Changing Hotel (\u30c1\u30a7\u30f3\u30b8\u30f3\u30b0\u2606\u30db\u30c6\u30eb)<\/span>, <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Sengoku Kourin Girl (\u6226\u56fd\u964d\u81e8\u30ac\u30fc\u30eb)<\/span>, <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Meitantei Hajimemashita (\u540d\u63a2\u5075\u306f\u3058\u3081\u307e\u3057\u305f)<\/span> and <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Alice in Paradox (\u30a2\u30ea\u30b9\u30a4\u30f3\u30d1\u30e9\u30c9\u30c3\u30af\u30b9)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-28316\" src=\"http:\/\/static.jpop-idols.com\/uploads\/2015\/02\/osu.jpg\" alt=\"OS\u2606U (Osu Super Idol Unit)\" width=\"150\" height=\"79\" \/>In January 2015, the former teams were replaced by new ones names O, S, U, \u2606 (star).<\/p>\n<p>They are going to make their major debut with the single\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><a title=\"OS\u2606U \u2013 Gangan Dance \/ Kimi no Tame ni\u2026\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jpop-idols.com\/en\/osu-gangan-dance\/\">Gangan Dance \/ Kimi no Tame ni&#8230;<\/a> (\u30ac\u30f3\u30ac\u30f3\u2606\u30c0\u30f3\u30b9 \/ \u541b\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b&#8230;)<\/span> which will be released in March 2015.
