\"MomoiroMomoiro Clover Z<\/strong> (\u3082\u3082\u3044\u308d\u30af\u30ed\u30fc\u30d0\u30fcZ), also known as Momoclo<\/strong> (\u3082\u3082\u30af\u30ed), is a Japanese idol group formed in 2008. They are sometimes nicknamed the Weekend Heroines (\u9031\u672b\u30d2\u30ed\u30a4\u30f3).<\/p>\n

It currently consists of 5 members. Each one has been assigned a color.<\/p>\n

The leader is Momota Kanako.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The idol unit is managed by Stardust Promotion and is part of its Section 3.<\/p>\n

It is a sister group of Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku<\/a> (\u79c1\u7acb\u6075\u6bd4\u5bff\u4e2d\u5b66), Team Syachihoko<\/a> (\u30c1\u30fc\u30e0\u3057\u3083\u3061\u307b\u3053) and Tacoyaki Rainbow<\/a> (\u305f\u3053\u3084\u304d\u30ec\u30a4\u30f3\u30dc\u30fc).<\/p>\n

Biography \/ History<\/h2>\n

The girls passed the Stardust Section 3 Audition (\u30b9\u30bf\u30fc\u30c0\u30b9\u30c8\u82b8\u80fd3\u90e8\u30aa\u30fc\u30c7\u30a3\u30b7\u30e7\u30f3)<\/span> in early 2008.<\/p>\n

Momoiro Clover held their 1st live performance in May 2008.<\/p>\n

The 6 original members were Tagaki Reni, Kagawa Miyuu, Ikura Manami, Momota Kanako, Tamai Shiori and Takai Tsukina.<\/p>\n

Takai Tsukina withdrew in July 2008 in order to be transferred to SKE48.<\/p>\n

Fujishiro Sumire joined the idol group a few days later in August 2008.<\/p>\n

Kashiwa Yukina, Hayami Akari and Sasaki Ayaka were added in November 2008.<\/p>\n

Kagawa Miyuu, Ikura Manami and Fujishiro Sumire announced their graduation in December 2008.<\/p>\n

Kashiwa Yukina retired in March 2009.<\/p>\n

Their 1st live tour Momoiro Clover Japan Tour 2009 Momoiro Typhooooon! (\u3082\u3082\u3044\u308d\u30af\u30ed\u30fc\u30d0\u30fcJapan\u30c4\u30a2\u30fc2009 \u3082\u3082\u3044\u308dTyphooooon!)<\/span> was held between May and August 2009.<\/p>\n

Ariyasu Momoka joined the idol unit in July 2009.<\/p>\n

Their 1st single Momoiro Punch (\u3082\u3082\u3044\u308d\u30d1\u30f3\u30c1)<\/span> was released in August 2009.<\/p>\n

Momoclo signed under Universal J label in February 2010.<\/p>\n

Their major debut single Ikuze! Kaitou Shoujo (\u884c\u304f\u305c\u3063!\u602a\u76d7\u5c11\u5973)<\/span> was released in May 2010.<\/p>\n

They were transferred to Star Child label in August 2010.<\/p>\n

The variety show \u3082\u3082\u30af\u30edChan ~Momoiro Clover Z Channel~<\/span> started airing on TV in October 2010.<\/p>\n

Hayami Akari withdrew in April 2011 to pursue her career as an actress.<\/p>\n

The idol group changed its name to Momoiro Clover Z just after this event.<\/p>\n

Their 1st album Battle and Romance (\u30d0\u30c8\u30eb \u30a2\u30f3\u30c9 \u30ed\u30de\u30f3\u30b9)<\/span> went on sale in July 2011.<\/p>\n

In August 2011, former member Kashiwa Yukina joined Nogizaka46<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The members appeared in the movie Ninifuni<\/span> released in September 2011. They played their own roles.<\/p>\n

Momoclo participated in Japan Media Arts Festival<\/span> in Dortmund, Germany, in September 2011.<\/p>\n

Momoiro Clover Z held a joint concert with Tokyo Girls’ Style<\/a> in November 2011.<\/p>\n

The variety show Momoclo Dan (\u3082\u3082\u30af\u30ed\u56e3)<\/span> was broadcast between January and December 2012 on TBS.<\/p>\n

In May 2012, the idol group held a live performance at Putrajaya, Malaysia.<\/p>\n

\"MomoiroMomoiro Clover Z performed at Japan Expo<\/span> in Paris Nord Villepinte, France, in July 2012.<\/p>\n

They performed the theme song for the new Sailor Moon (\u7f8e\u5c11\u5973\u6226\u58eb\u30bb\u30fc\u30e9\u30fc\u30e0\u30fc\u30f3)<\/span> anime.<\/p>\n

The girls participated in the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen (NHK\u7d05\u767d\u6b4c\u5408\u6226)<\/span> in December 2012 and 2013. It is a popular annual music show broadcast on New Year’s Eve.<\/p>\n

Momoclo TV<\/span> ranked as the #1 channel at the Ustream Awards<\/span> 2012 and 2013.<\/p>\n

\"MomoiroIn June 2013, the music video for Saraba, Itoshiki Kanashimitachi yo (\u30b5\u30e9\u30d0\u3001\u611b\u3057\u304d\u60b2\u3057\u307f\u305f\u3061\u3088)<\/span> won the Best Choregraphy Award at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan<\/span>.<\/p>\n

In August 2013, the concert Momoclo Natsu no Bakasawagi World Summer Dive 2013<\/a> (\u3082\u3082\u30af\u30ed\u590f\u306e\u30d0\u30ab\u9a12\u304e World Summer Dive 2013)<\/span> was held at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama. 60000 fans attended the live performance.<\/p>\n

In April 2014, Sasaki Ayaka broke her left foot during a recording of the TV show Mujack (\u30df\u30e5\u30fc\u30b8\u30e3\u30c3\u30af)<\/span>. She had to stop her activities for a period of 2 months.<\/p>\n

\"MomoiroIn May 2014, the girls appeared in the drama Akumu-chan (\u60aa\u5922\u3061\u3083\u3093)<\/span> starring Kitagawa Keiko. They formed a special unit, KimoClo (\u304d\u3082\u30af\u30ed), in collaboration with the actress.<\/p>\n

In June 2014, Momota Kanako was appointed as goodwill ambassador of the city of Hamamatsu in Shizuoka prefecture.<\/p>\n

Sasaki Ayaka<\/a> voice acted Athena in the movie Saint-Seiya Legend of Sanctuary<\/span> released in June 2014.<\/p>\n

In July 2014, Momota Kanako performed in the stage version of Sujinashi (\u30b9\u30b8\u30ca\u30b7)<\/span> in Nagoya. She will play an unscripted improvisation theater.<\/p>\n

\"MomoiroIn July 2014, Momoiro Clover Z released the single Moon Pride<\/a><\/span> which includes the theme songs for the anime Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal (\u7f8e\u5c11\u5973\u6226\u58eb\u30bb\u30fc\u30e9\u30fc\u30e0\u30fc\u30f3Crystal)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

In August 2014, the girls appeared in a TV commercial for the e-book comics service Comico (\u30b3\u30df\u30b3).<\/p>\n

In December 2014, the members of the idol group appeared as guest voice actresses in the anime Kami Usagi Rope Warau Asa ni ha Fuku Kitaru Maji ssu ka !? (\u7d19\u514e\u30ed\u30da \u7b11\u3046\u671d\u306b\u306f\u798f\u6765\u305f\u308b\u3063\u3066\u30de\u30b8\u3063\u3059\u304b\uff01\uff1f)<\/span>. They dubbed the voices of bears representing their characters.<\/p>\n

In January 2015, Momoclo started a series of monthly live performances titled Gekkan Takahashi (\u6708\u520aTakahashi)<\/span>. The events will take place in the various Zepp venues across Japan.<\/p>\n

The variety show Momoiro Tsurube (\u6843\u8272\u3064\u308b\u3079\uff5e\u304a\u6b21\u306e\u65b9\u3069\u3046\u305e\uff5e)<\/span> started airing on TV Kansai in January 2015. The girls co-host the program with actor and comedian Shofukutei Tsurube II.<\/p>\n

\"MomoiroMomoiro Clover Z and Kiss released in collaboration the single Yume no Ukiyo ni Saitemina<\/a> (\u5922\u306e\u6d6e\u4e16\u306b\u54b2\u3044\u3066\u307f\u306a)<\/span> in January 2015.<\/p>\n

The members are starring in the movie Maku ga Agaru (\u5e55\u304c\u4e0a\u304c\u308b)<\/span> released in theaters in February 2015. The idol group’s songs Seishunfu<\/span><\/a>, Yuku Haru Kuru Haru<\/span> an Link Link<\/span> are used in the film. Takoyaki Rainbow also appear in the movie.<\/p>\n

They participated in a promotional campaign for Aeon Mall shopping centers in March 2015.<\/p>\n

\"MomoiroThe girls dubbed the voices of angels characters in the movie Dragon Ball Z Fukkatsu no “F” (\u30c9\u30e9\u30b4\u30f3\u30dc\u30fc\u30ebZ \u5fa9\u6d3b\u306e\u300eF\u300f)<\/span> which will be released in April 2015. They also perform “Z” no Chikai<\/a> (\u300eZ\u300f\u306e\u8a93\u3044)<\/span> which is the theme song for the movie based on the manga by Toriyama Akira.<\/p>\n

Tagaki Reni (Momoiro Clover Z), Mayama Rika (Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku) and Ohguro Yuzuki (Team Syachihoko) formed Team Murasaki Shikibu (Team\u7d2b\u3057\u304d\u3076) in June 2015. Each one selected because her image color is purple in her own unit.<\/p>\n

Sasaki Ayaka made a guest appearance on Tokyo 03 Frolic a Holic Love Story “Torikaeshinotsukanai Sugata” (\u6771\u4eac03 Frolic a Holic \u30e9\u30d6\u30b9\u30c8\u30fc\u30ea\u30fc\u300e\u53d6\u308a\u8fd4\u3057\u306e\u3064\u304b\u306a\u3044\u59ff)<\/span> stage play at Akasaka Act Theater in June 2015.<\/p>\n

Momoiro Clover Z participated in Anime Expo 2015<\/a><\/span> in Los Angeles, USA, in July 2015.<\/p>\n

Takagi Reni broke her left wrist during a rehearsal in July 2015. The diagnostis was a distal radius fracture which requires 4 months for complete recovery.<\/p>\n

In September 2015, Momoclo participated in a disaster prevention campaign alongside the Tokyo metropolitan governor. They introduced themselves as heroines.<\/p>\n
