\"i\u2606Ris\" i\u2606Ris<\/a><\/span> is an idol group growing in popularity in Japan. They had a lot of activities over the last months with, among others, the release of their latest single \u00a7Rainbow<\/span>, a series of live performances at Akihabara TwinBox, and the participation in big events such as Idol Nation<\/span>.<\/p>\n

We had the opportunity to meet them and to talk about their various activities.<\/p>\n

Could you introduce yourselves ?<\/span><\/p>\n

Yamaki Saki (Y.S.) : I’m Saki-sama, the leader of i\u2606Ris. My image color is green.<\/p>\n

Serizawa Yu (S.Y.) : My name is Yu. My color is blue.<\/p>\n

Akaneya Himika (A.H.) : I’m Himi. My image color is purple.<\/p>\n

Wakai Yuki (W.Y.) : My name is Yuki and my image color is red.<\/p>\n

Kubota Miyu (K.M.) : I’m Miyutan. My image color is orange<\/p>\n

Shibuya Azuki (S.A.) : I’m Zuchan and my image color is yellow.<\/p>\n

Your latest single \u00a7Rainbow<\/a><\/span> was released on August 21. Could you say a few words about it ?<\/span><\/p>\n

S.Y. : \u00a7Rainbow<\/span> is the ending theme song for the anime series Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live (\u30d7\u30ea\u30c6\u30a3\u30fc\u30ea\u30ba\u30e0\u30fb\u30ec\u30a4\u30f3\u30dc\u30fc\u30e9\u30a4\u30d6)<\/span>. I am playing a leading role, Ann Fukuhara (\u798f\u539f\u3042\u3093).<\/p>\n

It is a very cheering song about a girl, whom entered into her longing world with confusion and distress.<\/p>\n

i\u2606Ris is going to celebrate its 1st anniversary in November. What do you think about this first year of activity ?<\/span><\/p>\n

Y.S. : We have been invited to Idol Nation<\/a><\/span> and to other major events this year. We hope to have other big opportunities to make our names more famous in the future.<\/p>\n

i\u2606Ris 1st Anniversary Live<\/a><\/span> is coming on November 9 at Harajuku Astro Hall. We are sure to make this event very succesful.<\/p>\n

As members of i\u2606Ris, you performed the theme songs for various anime series. What are your favorite anime ?<\/span><\/p>\n

Y.S. : Pokemon (\u30dd\u30b1\u30e2\u30f3)<\/span>, also known as Pocket Monsters (\u30dd\u30b1\u30c3\u30c8\u30e2\u30f3\u30b9\u30bf\u30fc)<\/span> in Japan.<\/p>\n

S.Y. : Full Moon wo Sagashite (\u6e80\u6708\u3092\u3055\u304c\u3057\u3066)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A.H. : Cardcaptor Sakura (\u30ab\u30fc\u30c9\u30ad\u30e3\u30d7\u30bf\u30fc)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

W.Y. : One Piece (\u30ef\u30f3\u30d4\u30fc\u30b9)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

K.M. : The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (\u6dbc\u5bae\u30cf\u30eb\u30d2\u306e\u6182\u9b31)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

S.A. : The Prince of Tennis (\u30c6\u30cb\u30b9\u306e\u738b\u5b50\u69d8)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

You are also voice actresses (seiyuu (\u58f0\u512a)<\/span> in Japanese). What kind of characters would you like to play ?<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Y.S. : I would like to play a funny character.<\/p>\n

S.Y. : I want to play an evil character in order to do something bad. (Ed. note : She says that by impersonating a demon).<\/p>\n

A.H. : I would like to perform the main role in an animation movie for kids.<\/p>\n

W.Y. : I would like to play a character who can change in something else like Sailor Moon (\u30bb\u30fc\u30e9\u30fc\u30e0\u30fc\u30f3)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

K.M. : I want to act for both a boy and a girl.<\/p>\n

S.A. : I would like to play something that usually doesn’t speak in the real life, like an animal or a flower for example.<\/p>\n

What are your goals for the future ?<\/span><\/p>\n

Y.S. : We would like to become a group who will be loved by all : anime fans, voice actress fans, and idol fans. There is not such a group in Japan.<\/p>\n

Do you have a message for your fans ?<\/span><\/p>\n

Y.S. : We highly wish to perform a live concert abroad. Especially in France!<\/p>\n

We hope that i\u2606Ris and the anime series in which we play some roles will be seen abroad and be loved.<\/p>\n
