AKB48 Team 8‘s first original song 47 no Suteki na Machi e (47の素敵な街へ) will be on AKB48’s 37th single Kokoro no Placard (心のプラカード) which will be on sale on August 27.
The members of Team 8 performed the song for the first time on July 21 during a live performance at Kobe Meriken Park.
The list of the members of AKB48 Team 8 has been unveiled.
There is a total of 47 members, one for each Japanese Prefecture. The girls are aged between 12 and 19.
The creation of AKB48 Team 8 has been announced.
The concept of AKB48 Team 8 is different from the existing units. It is : “idols go to meet you”. Instead of performing in Akihabara, the members of the idol unit will hold live performances in various regions of Japan in order to see their fans.
