Watanabe Mayu – Rappa Renshuuchuu

Watanabe Mayu - Rappa Renshuuchuu Watanabe Mayu’s 4th solo single Rappa Renshuuchuu (ラッパ練習中) will be released on July 10.

5 editions are available. Each CD contains 3 songs and their instrumental versions. The coupling songs are different depending on the edition.

The limited editions include either a DVD featuring the music video, its making-of and some bonus footage, or an illustration book.

This single is the tie-up song for the event Rogoku Yuenchi kara Mayuyu woSukue!! in Tokyo Dome City Attractions (牢獄遊園地からまゆゆを救え!!! in 東京ドームシティアトラクションズ) which will be held from July 27 to September 23.

A contest titled Anata no Illust ga Shinkyoku no Jacket ni Nari Mayuyu (あなたのイラストが新曲のジャケットになりまゆゆ) was organized through the illustration sharing site Pixiv to make a cover jacket for the CD.

Nakatsuka Tomomi Recipe Tsuki Photobook

Nakatsuka Tomomi Recipe Tsuki Photobook (AKB48料理部部長中塚智実レシピ付きフォトブッククリスイーツ) will be released on July 7.

Nakatsuka Tomomi is the leader of AKB48 Cooking Club. For this reason, the theme of the photobook is “cooking”. It features photos of Nakatsuka Tomomi as a gravure idol, wearing aprons or swimsuits. It also includes an interview, and 48 recipes made by Tomochan and published in Weekly Playboy magazine.

The book has 96 pages and is in A5 format.

Nakatsuka Tomomi will graduate from AKB48 on July 7. She is a member of Team A.

Takahashi Minami in The Smurfs 2

Takahashi Minami (AKB48 ) - The Smurfs 2 Takahashi Minami will be voicing in the Japanese dubbed version of the animated movie The Smurfs 2 (スマーフ2).

AKB48’s general manager Takahashi Minami will voice the Smurfette. This role is performed by Katy Perry in the US version.

The Smurfs 2 will be released in theaters on August 16 in Japan.

Kasai Tomomi – Meshibana Keiji Tachibana

Kasai Tomomi (Meshibana Deka Tachibana) The drama Meshibana Keiji Tachibana (めしばな刑事タチバナ) starring Kasai Tomomi (ex AKB48) will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on August 21.

The story is based on the manga of the same title. Kasai Tomomi will plays the role of a policewoman.

The DVD and the Blu-ray box sets include 4 discs featuring all episodes of Meshibana Keiji Tachibana, backstage footage, interviews, outtakes, music videos, and more.

Kasai Tomomi’s latest solo single Mine is the theme song for the drama. (more…)

Ohori Megumi – Kuchisake-Onna Returns

Kuchisake Onna Returns The horror movie Kuchisake-Onna Returns (口裂け女リターンズ) starring Ohori Megumi (ex AKB48 and SDN48) will be released on DVD on July 19.

“Kuchisake-Onna”, which litteraly means “Slit-Mouthed Woman” in English, is a figure appearing in Japanese legends.

The story depicts the arrival of Airi (Ohori Megumi) and her friends in an evil village…

The movie was directed by Yamamoto Junichi.

It was released in theaters on July 7, 2012, in Japan.

AKB48 Senbatsu General Election 2013 Results

AKB48 Sashihara Rino won the 5th AKB48 Senbatsu General Election 2013. Oshima Yuko and Watanabe Mayu came in 2nd and 3rd position.

The first 64 members are selected to perform in AKB48’s 32nd single will be released on August 21.

Shinoda Mariko announced her graduation from AKB48.

The AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo (AKB48 32ndシングル選抜総選挙) was held on June 8 at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama.

AKB48 Senbatsu General Election 2013 on YouTube

AKB48 The 5th AKB48 Senbatsu Election 2013 will be live streamed on AKB48 official YouTube channel.

This special program will start broadcasting on June 8 at 17:15 (Japan time).

Fans can send cheering message to the members through Google+ and YouTube. The messages can be sent from June 4 to 8. They will be picked up on the screen before the start of the AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo (AKB48 32ndシングル選抜総選挙).

AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo : Preliminary Results

AKB48 AKB48’s website published the preliminary results of the AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo (AKB48 32ndシングル　選抜総選挙).

Sashihara Rino is ranked 1st with 28 563 votes. Watanabe Mayu and Oshima Yuko come in 2nd and 3rd position.

Check out the ranking with some other surprises.

The final results of the 5th Senbatsu Election 2013 will be announced on June 8.

Moreover, according to Oricon, 1 450 881 copies of the single Sayonara Crawl (さよならクロール) were sold on its first day sale.
