AKB48 Super Festival and 5th Senbatsu Election 2013

AKB48 Super Festival and 5th Senbatsu General Election 2013 will be held on June 8 at Nissan Stadium, Yokohama.

AKB48 Super Festival ~Nissan Stadium, Chicchie! Chicchakunaishi!!~ (AKB48スーパーフェスティバル～日産スタジアム、小(ち)っちぇっ! 小(ち)っちゃくないし!! ～) will start at 15:00. All groups (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, and HKT48) will perform at the concert.

Then, AKB48 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo will be held at 17:30. The voting period will run from May 21 to June 7. The single will be released in August. This time, former members who have been part of a group during more than 4 years, as Maeda Atsuko for example, will be able to stand for the election if they want.

AKB48 Team BS formed to promote NHK BS

AKB48 Team BS has been formed to promote NHK BS1 and NHK BS Premium TV channels.

The campaign will last from March 20 to May 31. The slogan is “Who do you support? I support BS!” (「あなたは誰推し？私はBS押し！」).

AKB48 Team BS members are :

AKB48 : Oshima Yuko, Watanabe Mayu, Takahashi Minami, Shimazaki Haruka
SKE48 : Matsui Jurina, Matsui Rena
NMB48 : Yamamoto Sayaka, Watanabe Miyuki
HKT48 : Sashihara Rino, Tashima Meru

AKB48 Request Hour Setlist Best 100 2013

AKB48 AKB48 Request Hour Setlist Best 100 2013 (AKB48 リクエストアワーセットリストベスト100 2013) will be released on DVD on April 24 and Blu-ray on June 12.

The DVD and the Blu-ray box sets contain 100 songs selected and performed live from 536 songs from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, and HKT48.

The regular edition includes a bonus disc with making-of footage.

The limited editions come with a bonus disc featuring making-of, 5 photos, a 148-page Countdown Book, and a desktop stand panel.

The blu-ray versions include an extra disc featuring a music video for Hashire! Penguin (走れ！ペンギン) and its making-of.

AKB48 Request Hour Setlist Best 100 2013 was held from January 24 to 27 at Tokyo Dome City Hall.

Sashihara Rino in Ore wa Mada Honki Dashitenai Dake

Sashihara Rino - Ore wa Mada Honki Dashitenai Dake Sashihara Rino will make an appearance in the movie Ore wa Mada Honki Dashitenai Dake (僕はまだ本気出してないだけ).

The movie is an adaptation of Aono Shunju’s manga. It is directed by Fukuda Yuichi.

Sashihara Rino will play the role of Unami Aya, an editor who turns down the main character’s mangas.

The movie will be released in theaters on June 15 in Japan.

HKT48 – Suki! Suki! Skip!

HKT48‘s debut single Suki! Suki! Skip! (スキ！スキ！スキップ！) will be released on March 20.

This is the 1st single from HKT48. It marks their major debut under Universal Music.

The MV has been released.

2nd AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta Gassen

The 2nd AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta Gassen (第2回 AKB48紅白対抗歌合戦) will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 27.

The DVD and the Blu-ray include bonus video footage, a 20-page booklet, and 3 photos.

The 2nd AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta Gassen was held on December 17 at Tokyo Dome City Hall.

146 members from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, JKT48, and SNH48 participated in the singing battle. Takahashi Minami was the captain of White Team, and Shinoda Mariko the captain of Red Team.

AKB48 Fair

AKB48 AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, and HKT48 will hold a series of concerts titled AKB48 Fair (AKB48フェア).

The concerts will take place from April 25 to 28 at Nippon Budokan.

The announcement was made on the 3rd day of AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 100 2013 (AKB48 リクエストアワーセットリストベスト100 2013) held at Tokyo Dome City Hall.

HKT48 – HaKaTa Hyakkaten

HKT48 - HaKaTa Hyakkaten The DVD box set of HKT48‘s variety show HaKaTa Hyakkaten (HaKaTa百貨店) hosted by Sashihara Rino will be released on April 19.

HaKaTa Hyakkaten is broadcast since October 2012 on Nippon Television (日本テレビ). Every week, a member of AKB48 participates in the TV show as guest. She has to choose their “oshimen” among the members of HKT48 who are facing various challenges.

2nd AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta Gassen

The teams for the 2nd AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta Gassen (第2回 AKB48紅白対抗歌合戦) have been announced.

Takahashi Minami will be the captain of White Team, and Shinoda Mariko the captain of Red Team.

Members from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, JKT48, and SNH48 will participate in the event.

The singing battle will be held on December 17 at Tokyo Dome City Hall.

The event will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 27.

AKB48 – Eien Pressure

AKB48 - Eien Pressure AKB48’s 29th single Eien Pressure (永遠プレッシャー) will be released on December 5.

The title song is performed by the 16 members selected at the 2012 Janken Tournament. Shimazaki Haruka had won the center position.

Some B-side tracks are performed by SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, or OKL48 depending on the version.

Each single includes a bonus DVD featuring music videos and a documentary on the 29th Single Senbatsu Janken Tournament.
