Okubora Chinatsu announced her graduation from AKB48 Team 8 on June 18.
Okubora Chinatsu explained on the official website that she had decided to leave the idol group in order to focus on her studies as it was too hard for her to concentrate on school and on idol activities at the same time.
Okubora Chinatsu had joined AKB48 Team 8 in April 2014. She was a representative of Gifu Prefecture.
As a result, the staff announced that AKB48 are going to hold audition to recruit a new member from Gifu Prefecture. Applications can be sent from June 20 to July 4.
