AKB48 – So Long! (Drama)

AKB48 - So Long (Drama)So Long! drama starring AKB48 will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on June 28.

The DVD and the Blu-ray box sets include the 3 episodes of the drama. They also contain a bonus disc featuring making-of, promotional spots, and more.

The regular edition comes with a 12-page booklet and a poster.

The limited editions have a special package featuring members from Team A (Shinoda Mariko, Watanabe Mayu), Team K (Oshima Yuko, Matsui Jurina), or Team B (Kojima Haruna, Shimazaki Haruka). They include a 48-page booklet, 4 posters, and a replica of the script of one of the 3 stories.

Nito Moeno to graduate from AKB48

Nito MoenoNito Moeno announced her graduation from AKB48. The date of her graduation hasn’t been decided yet.

The announcement was made during Team A stage performance at AKB48 Theater on February 14.

She explained that she took this decision to live new experiences as she is 20 years old.

Nito Moeno joined AKB48 in August 2008 as a 5th generation member. She is currently part of Team A. She finished in 2nd place at AKB48 Janken Tournament 2012 for AKB48’s 29th single Eien Pressure (永遠プレッシャー).

Ono Erena – Kimi ga Ano Hi Waratteita Imi wo

Ono Erena - Kimi ga Ano Hi Waratteita Imi woOno Erena’s 4th solo single Kimi ga Ano Hi Waratteita Imi wo (君があの日笑っていた意味を。) will be released on March 6.

The lyrics were written by Ono Erena herself.

B-side tracks are different for each edition.

The limited editions include a bonus DVD featuring music video, making-of, and other extra video.

The single includes the opening and the ending themes for the anime series AKB0048 Next Stage.

It comes with a photo randomly selected from 9 kinds.

The CD+DVD editions include a bonus disc featuring music video, making-of, and other bonus video footage.

No Name consists of AKB48’s Watanabe Mayu, Nakaya Sayaka, Sato Amina, Ishida Haruka, Sato Sumire, Iwata Karen, SKE48’s Yagami Kumi, Hata Sawako, and NMB48’s Mita Mao.

Kashiwagi Yuki - Mielino KashiwagiThe drama Mielino Kashiwagi (ミエリーノ柏木) starring Kashiwagi Yuki (AKB48) will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on June 28.

Kashiwagi Yuki plays the role of a cafe assistant having the special ability to see the future love life of the person who touches her.

The DVD and the Blu-ray box sets include a bonus disc featuring making-of, interviews, PR footage, and more.

Kashiwagi Yuki’s solo debut single Shortcake (ショートケーキ), which will be released on February 6, is the theme song for the drama Mielino Kashiwagi.

Uchida Mayumi – Iwa ni Shimiiru “Uchida-san” no Koe

Uchida Mayumi - Iwa ni Shimiiru “Uchida-san” no KoeUchida Mayumi‘s 1st photo essay Iwa ni Shimiiru “Uchida-san” no Koe (岩にしみ入る「内田さん」の声) will be released on February 22.

Uchida Mayumi is a member of AKB48 Team K since 2010. She won the AKB48 Janken Tournament 2010 and was the center for their 19th single Chance no Junban (チャンスの順番).

The book has 128 pages and includes many pictures of the idol wearing a rock costume.

Itano Tomomi to graduate from AKB48

Itano TomomiItano Tomomi announced her graduation from AKB48. She will leave the group this year. The date of her graduation ceremony hasn’t been determined yet.

The announcement was made by Itano Tomomi during the premiere of Documentary of AKB48 No Flower without Rain on February 1. She expresses her desire to leave AKB48 through an interview in the film.

Itano Tomomi joined AKB48 as a 1st generation member in 2005. She is currently part of AKB48 Team K. Tomochin made her solo debut in January 2011.

2nd AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta Gassen

AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta GassenThe 2nd AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta Gassen (第2回 AKB48紅白対抗歌合戦) will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 27.

The DVD and the Blu-ray include bonus video footage, a 20-page booklet, and 3 photos.

The 2nd AKB48 Kouhaku Taikou Uta Gassen was held on December 17 at Tokyo Dome City Hall.

146 members from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, JKT48, and SNH48 participated in the singing battle. Takahashi Minami was the captain of White Team, and Shinoda Mariko the captain of Red Team.

Minegishi Minami involved in a scandal

Minegishi MinamiMinegishi Minami (AKB48) has been demoted to Kenkyuusei due to a scandal. She has also shaved her hair and posted a video message.

The scandal began with the publication of an article in the tabloid Shukan Bunshun (週刊文春) revealing that Minegishi Minami spent a night at the house of Generation member Shirahama Alan.

In her video message, Minegishi Minami apologizes to AKB48 members, the fans, the staff, and her family. She tells that she doesn’t want to quit AKB48.

AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 100 2013

AKB48Hashire! Penguin (走れ！ペンギン) from AKB48 Team 4 finished 1st place at AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 100 2013 (AKB48 リクエストアワー セットリストベスト100 2013).

Kiseki wa Ma ni Awanai (奇跡は間に合わない) from Team K come in 2nd place, and Ue kara Mariko (上からマリコ) in 3rd place.

AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 100 2013 was held from January 24 to 27 at Tokyo Dome City Hall.
