The new single of Yamamoto Sayaka left AKB48
Yamamoto Sayaka announced her departure from AKB48 Team K.
This announcement was made by herself on May 26th at NM48 Theater in Osaka during a live performance.
Sayanee specified to continue her activities with her debut group NMB48 which she is a member of the 1st generation and the captain.
Iwasa Misaki at Japan Expo 2016
Iwasa Misaki is going to participate in Japan Expo 2016 in France in July.
The enka singer, and former AKB48 member, will make foreign fans discover this popular music style from the Land of the Rising Sun on stage at Japan Expo.
Ishida Haruka to graduate from AKB48
Ishida Haruka announced her graduation from AKB48.
Harukyan told that she had decided to leave the idol group in order to realize her dream of becoming a voice actress (seiyu).
AKB48 new groups TPE48 (Taipei), MNL48 (Manila), BNK48 (Bangkok)
3 new overseas sister groups of AKB48 have been officially created : TPE48 in Taipei (Taiwan), MNL48 in Manila (Philippines) and BNK48 in Bangkok (Thailand).
This announcement was made on March 26th during AKB48 concert at Yokohama Stadium.
Itano Tomomi‘s 8th single Hide & Seek will be on sale on April 20th.AKB48 – Kimi wa Melody
The new single of AKB48 Kimi wa Melody (君はメロディー) will be on sale on March 9.
This is the 43rd single of the idol group. It celebrates for the second time the 10th anniversary of the group (after the recent release of a compilation album in last November).
For this occasion, some former members such as the popular Maeda Atsuko, Itano Tomomi, Shinoda Mariko and Oshima Yuko make a brilliant appearance on the covers of singles and the clip. Although they have not participated in the recording of the single in its entirety, they perform the title track.
Graduation of Iwasa Misaki from AKB48
Iwasa Misaki announced her graduation from AKB48.
She wants to pursue her career as a enka singer.
Iwasa Misaki made this announcement during her 1st solo concert on January 30th at Asakusa Public Hall, Tokyo. This event was also celebrating her 21st birthday.
AKB48 coming-of-age ceremony 2016
32 members from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48 and NGT48 held their coming-of-age ceremony (成人式, seijin shiki) on January 11 at Kanda Shrine in Tokyo.
Kizaki Yuria, Iriyama Anna, Tani Marika, Anai Chihiro, Tanigawa Airi and Nishigata Marina were part of the girls who became adults. They were all wearing pretty furisode.

AKB48 – Kuchibiru ni Be my Baby
AKB48‘s 42nd single Kuchibiru Be my Baby will be released on December 9.
In addition, Takahashi Minami is going to produce a special stage at AKB48 Theater. Further details on this live event will be revealed later.
It was also announced that Fujita Nana will make her solo debut on December 23.
