Cho Orie announced her upcoming graduation from STU48.
This announcement was made on March 15th.
She decided to leave the idol group for devoting herself fully to her studies; Cho Orie herself declared : “After challenging myself to various things and meeting different people, I found something that I really want to do. I want to interact with many people from around the world, so after consulting with my family and staff, I chose the path of studies“.
AKB48 will release their 51st single Jabaja (ジャーバージャ) on March 14th.
The selected members (senbatsu) for this single are: Iriyama Anna, Yokoyama Yui, Mukaichi Mion, Kato Rena, Ma Chia-Ling, Yuki Kashiwagi (AKB48 & NGT48), Kojima Mako, Komiyama Haruka, Takahashi Juri, Murayama Yuiri, Okada Nana (AKB48 & STU48), Okabe Rin, Oguri Yui, Kuranoo Narumi, Matsui Jurina (SKE48), Obata Yuna (SKE48), Suda Akari, Yamamoto Sayaka (NMB48), Shiroma Miru (NMB48), Ota Yuuri (NMB48), Sashihara Rino (HKT48), Tanaka Miku (HKT48), Miyawaki Sakura (AKB48 & HKT48), Matsuoka Hana (HKT48), Ogino Yuka, Nakai Rika (NGT48) and Takino Yumiko (STU48).
The girl who had the center position is Okada Nana (AKB48 & STU48).
STU48 unveiled their debut single.
It is entitled Kurayami (暗闇) and will be released on January 31.
The selected members (senbatsu) for this single are : Ishida Chiho, Ishida Minami, Isogai Kanon, Ichioka Ayumi, Imamura Mitsuki, Iwata Hina, Kadowaki Miyuna, Sano Haruka, Takino Yumiko, Tanaka Kouko, Torobu Yuri, Fukuda Akari, Fujiwara Azusa, Mori Kaho, Yabushita Fu and Okada Nana.
The center position is held by Takino Yumiko.
The 50th single 11 Gatsu no Anklet (11月のアンクレッ) by AKB48 will be released on November 22nd.
This is the last single with popular member Watanabe Mayu who will leave the group in December. She is a central member on this single and even performs a solo song Sayonara de Owaru Wake ja Nai (her graduation song).
Kuroiwa Yui announced her graduation from STU48.
This announcement was made on October 2 by herself and via STU48’s website.
Kuroiwa Yui chose to leave STU48 to devote herself to her studies. It is obviously difficult for her to work with the group and be in school at the same time.
AKB48 will release their 48th single Negaigoto no Mochigusare (願いごとの持ち腐れ) on May 31.
The short versions of the MVs have been unveiled. The full music video for Negaigoto no Mochigusare lasts 11 minutes.
The center position is held by Matsui Jurina (SKE48) and Miyawaki Sakura (AKB48 & HKT48).
A new idol group of the franchise AKB48 was formed: this is STU48.
The name of the STU48 refers to the town of Setouchi, located in Okayama Prefecture.
After the formation of the sister group NGT48 in 2015, the group of STU48 will be the 6th national sister group of AKB48, scheduled to debut in summer of 2017.
Ozaki Mami, a member of STU48, decided to leave the idol group.
